bin directory not visible

Anybody knows why the bin directory I check out from CVS is not visible
in Navigator and how to fix it?

Did you try to Refresh the project (from the context menu) to synchronize
the workspace with the file system? Did you look into the Filters... dialog
accessible in Navigator's own menu?

Note: the bin folder is hidden in Package Explorer for Java projects, but
I suppose you are really talking about the Navigator view.
