Can't get anything working..

Hi, I am running Java 5.0 on Linux with Eclipse 3.0.1 w/ the latest stable
EPIC (0.3.0) and nothing seems to be working properly. For one, the overview
window always says "No overview". When I try to use the PerlDoc window,
all that shows up it a flashing cursor, and I've tried to find EPIC docs
and googled how to use the PerlDoc window and I cannot find anything.. If
I go into prefs and turn on line numbers and hit OK, there are still no
line numbers.. It seems I cannot get anything to work :/

I am a little confused at this point. Am I missing something?
