can't run the console in Eclipse with EPIC

I am attempting to have the console in Eclipse to run perl scripts using

But, when I attempt to run it, I get the error message: "Variable references
empty selection: ${container_loc}"  What is the problem here?  I'm running
Windows XP Pro, btw.

I don't know why this guy is using External Tools to launch his Perl interpreters.
I would suggest you simply add a run configuration of type "Perl Local"
using "Run..." from the "Run" menu.
