Debugging performance

Hi,

I've problems with debugging. It appears to be
so slow that I simple cant wait for it. So e.g. 
setting a breakpoint after getting 100 items from
a network-server i've to wait > 2 hours. Without
debugger I reach the same point at about 30s
mostly waiting for the network server.
(It's a simple tcp-Based communication).

javaw goes to 100% CPU, perl is near 0%.
I've tested with stable and testing version of epic.
Eclipse is last stable, updating java to the
newest version does not change anything.

1GHz CPU 256MB, Windows XP, Task manager
shows it's not a memory problem.

Any Ideas?
