using perl on remote machine

Does anyone knows the way to use perl on the remote machine via ssh passwordless
login.

I am able to use External running program on external machine via "ssh machine_name
perl" command but I cannot do this with Perl command in preferences of EPIC
(on-the-fly checking of the code).

I want this because I have many modules installed on the remote machine
and I don't want to mess my machine with them.

I am using Eclipse 3.0.1, EPIC 0.3, Linux RedHat 7.3.
