Can run script, but debugger dies silently

Hi all. I've just moved to PPC Linux ( Gentoo ) on my Powerbook, and I'm
trying to get EPIC running.

I've set up a 'Perspective' and can run scripts ( with some issues, but
I'll return to that in another post ), but debugging doesn't work. No matter
which way I attempt to begin debugging ( F11, toolbar 'debug...' item, etc
), I get the same results. A progress 'spinner' down the bottom of the IDE
throbs for a while, and a status bar message says "Launching: (50%)". During
this time, I've got a perl process at 60% CPU usage, and a java process
at 10% CPU usage, but after that, nothing happens ... at all.

I've already installed the padwalker module via cpan.
