hint on valiable name when starting a new one

Too many times when I start a new variable with "my" keyword 
i.e. my $countRegisters , I get the hint mechanism to suggest for already
existing variables. Obviously when I state "my", the list to choose from
is not relevant. Can this suggestion be inhibited when "my/local/our" keyword
is set?
